Measuring Instruments
- CALIPER- Calliper are an instrument used to measure the dimensions of an object or hole; namely, the length, width, thickness, diameter or depth of an object or hole. The word calliper comes from Latin roots meaning precise pincer.
- REFRACTOMETER- Standard refractometers measure the extent of light refraction (as part of a refractive index) of transparent substances in either a liquid this is then used in order to identify a liquid sample, analyse the sample's purity, and determine the amount or concentration of dissolved substances within the sample.
- PH METER-The rate and outcome of chemical reactions taking place in water often depends on the acidity of the water, and it is therefore useful to know the acidity of the water, typically measured by means of a pH meter.
